A steel structure in an industrial hall

Arenal, the Mechelen padel club, first started on the site of the former Comet, between the Vaart and the Vesten in Mechelen. Business managers Mattias Van Holm and Tom de Sutter had a new plan for a different location. A project with more than just paddle tennis. Arenal built a new sports park at the Old Huyghebaert site: a combination of indoor padel courts and a large trampoline park.

The first contacts were made in January 2018 and about four months later, Symobo completed the central building in the existing hall. Upstairs, an open cafeteria offers a view of both sports parks: the padel courts on one side and the large indoor trampoline park on the other side. In addition to a technical room, there is also a meeting room and a multipurpose room at the bottom.

In cooperation with Arenal, Symobo also carried out an important part of the renovation works of the changing rooms and sanitary facilities. Always in open communication and in line with the tight schedule of the Arenal project.
