Smulders Hoboken - Antwerp

Built on the immense titan hall in the port of Antwerp, you can recently find this Symobo office building. Main task: to create a quiet work environment for staff next to the busy loud production hall.

Right in the heart of the port of Antwerp, you can find the company Smulders NV. Specializing in building offshore wind turbines for years, the company was running out of space when staff came back from Corona lockdown.

Symobo built a 2-storey office building against the existing production hall as a solution. A sanitary room was provided on the ground floor together with a large storage room that is directly connected to the production hall. On the first floor, in addition to a kitchen and a large communal office space, you can also find 3 smaller “quiet” office spaces.

Anthracite exterior cladding was chosen for a timeless, sleek look. In addition, the entire building was equipped with heat pumps and additional blinds on the windows.
