Sometimes you have to take a step back and look at a project from a different perspective. And that is exactly what Symobo did with Monument's project. What was originally a module building was literally and figuratively converted into a steel building.
We were contacted by one of our “competitors” who recently won a tender for a modular extension to the CHR Namur hospital. Symobo was asked to help deliver and install modular units. However, when we went through the plans together, we saw that the data, location and facilities were not being used optimally.
Symobo took the plunge and raised this problem/opportunity with our competitor Monument and the customer. After an intensive brainstorming session, we came up with a finished steel structure as a result. Something that only benefited afterwards, given the permanent nature of the building.
Symobo also had the opportunity to participate in the new steel construction project. We installed a closed steel structure in just under 4 months. This enabled Monument to further finish the building.
By communicating critically and transparently every time, everyone can look back on this great project with a positive view.
This project in a nutshell:
- A building with an area of just under 600 square metres
- 2 storeys
- built-in staircase and an emergency staircase on the outside
- 40 rooms in accordance with standards
- 2 toilets including 1 for the disabled
- Concealed technical space
- Rooms equipped with an efficient ventilation system assisted by heating with heat pumps for a healthy indoor climate.
- Super insulated
- LED lighting throughout the building
