"Soignies" Office - Carrières du Hainaut

A multifunctional office building on the edge of the bluestone quarry
Carrières du Hainaut has been the largest Belgian producer of “blue stone” for years. At the site in Soignies, they wanted to install a prefab container building, almost on the edge of the huge abyss of the bluestone quarry. In the building, office space had to be combined with a large meeting and demo room for customers.

After a market consultation and extensive negotiations, Symobo was the first to come out. In addition to the largest modular building on the edge of the quarry, various modular buildings were also installed elsewhere on the site.

The main project was carried out in modular unit construction, efficiently arranged on the ground floor with offices to the left and right of a central corridor and the interior stairs and sanitary facilities at the entrance. Upstairs, there are also a few offices and, in addition to a small kitchen area, a large room for demonstrations and meetings. From here, through the large windows, you have an impressive view of the 'pit' of the career: the core of the site, where the blue stone is really mined.

The building is cooled comfortably with heat pump devices. The smooth steel plate façade provides extra cachet on the outside.
